PICTURES OF OUR PLAYGROUND
I thought you would like to see our PLAYGROUND here at ELFIE'S PLACE, so my PA went out with the Camera and took these photos. The Playground is about 2,500 Square feet (or square Paws if you're a Dog).

DOG AGILITY AT NATIONAL LEVEL
It's been a while since I last posted my Doggy Bloggy, I have been busy doing Dog Agility. It's fun because I get to meet all my Buddies and my MA reunites with her friends.
On June 8, 9 and 10th, my MA took me to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island to compete in Dog Agility with other Dogs from British Columbia and the Yukon. This event is the Provincial Regionals. I scored enough points to qualify me to compete in the National event which was to take part on August 2, 3, 4 and 5th also in Nanaimo.
We travelled to the Nationals on August 2nd, the day after my 9th Birthday. I have been competing as a Veteran for two years now. When all the results were in, I came 7th in the whole of Canada for my Age Group. In three events, I came 2nd. My PA stayed at Home to look after our Jack Russell Puppies, actually I think they looked after my PA. I missed him lots, but I know he's so very proud of me. When I arrived Home, PA took this photo of me and my MA showing all the Ribbons I won at the Nationals.
Now it's time for a rest before my next Competition. I guess I better check to see what the Jack Russells are up to.

ELFIE's New Year 2011
All of us at ELFIE’s PLACE hope that you are having a
HAPPY NEW YEAR
“Woof woof Wufff” to everyone. ELFIE the Superdog here.
I have to thank my MA for making the Christmas Season so very Special for all us Dogs at ELFIE’s PLACE
Santa brought us all presents, even to our new Jack Russell Puppies too. Although the Jack Russells have now been a part of our Family for nearly a year now, we shall always refer to them as ‘Puppies’. They respond to that word.
On New Years Day, we all went for a walk. We three Dogs played lots.

We had visitors stay with us for the New Year. Although we were expecting two of our friends for Christmas, they didn't show up, because their Dog wasn't well and the lady had knee surgery. So my MA went to visit them and took their presents to them.
If you would like to come and visit us, please let us know. Just click on this link to see the details:
or phone 250-653-2447.
We hope to see you sometime and we wish you Safe Journeys.

AUGUST 1st. ELFIE's BIRTHDAY

PUPPIES? Yikes!!
Their names are NUTMEG (in front) and EGGNOG. It's great having them around. So, guess who gets to look after them and train them? Me. They have so much energy.
EGGNOG's first meal with us.
NUTMEG asking for more food.
At the end of February, my MA discovered an old trail on our property, so we all did some clearing. It's about 360 meters long (out and return) and about 50 feet from highest to lowest point. It's a good work-out. My folks named it NUTMEGGNOG TRAIL. When you visit ELFIE's PLACE, you'll see a map of the Trail in the Cottage and in the Suite at the House.
Anyways, we are getting bookings for the year. The COTTAGE and SUITE. Both have their own Deck, Bar-B-Que, and Hot-Tubs, and self-contained Kitchens.
We still have some vacancies.
We're also making our Motorhome available too. Just call Diane (who coordinates the bookings) on 250-653-2447.

So, why not come and see us. You'll enjoy your stay. Great views, peaceful surroundings, and only eight minutes drive from the Fulford Ferry.

SEASONS GREETINGS
by ELFIE, the Superdog.
Woof Wufff, and Seasons Greetings to you all. ELFIE the Superdog here.
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas. Being a Dog, I am observant, and I noticed some people don't say, "Merry Christmas". Instead, they say, "Happy Holidays". It must also be respected that many people can't afford a 'holiday', or take time off work, so it's not a 'holiday' either. But all that is another issue. I mean, what do I know, I'm just a Dog.
Santa came around and left me many presents. Mostly things for me to chew. He left some presents for my MA and PA too. My folks left Santa a note, to which he replied to. Here's Santa's reply on the table:
Dear Elfie,
It's good to see you again. I remember how you helped me to deliver the presents. I got so busy that I left you behind. I'm sorry.
So, each Christmas, I come and check that you're OK. I see that you are happy with your folks.
Thankyou all for leaving out the Sherry and Mince Tarts. They were tasty. And thankyou for leaving the towel so that I could take a Hot Tub.
Merry Christmas to all. See you next year.
Safe Journeys,
Santa.
I was so excited that Santa left me a note.
I see that Santa took some time for a Hot Tub. There's nothing like relaxing the old bones.
While we were unwrapping the presents, my PA played some Christmas tunes on the Piano:
After a short rest from the Soccer match with my PA, we all went for a walk by the beach. MA decided to take me closer to the sea:
On the way back, we met a photographer who asked to take our photos, as we were wearing our Santa Hats, and in the general spririt of CHRISTMAS.
Here we are:
Thanks for the photo, Greg.We would like to remind you all that we are in the 'Winter Rate' to stay at ELFIE's PLACE, which is 20% less than the Summer Rate. Here's our main page: http://ELFIEsPLACE.com
Just send us an E-Mail, or phone us at 250-653-2447. Salt Spring Island is a greta place to visit.
